DGH Program
The Doctors in Global Harmony (DGH) is an independent research program for students who have earned minimum of a Masters in Global Harmony (MGH). Alternatively, students with an MA degree in any discipline, including and not limited to physical sciences, social sciences, medicine, law, philosophy, literature, journalism, sports, and entertainment may apply straight for a DGH program.
The students with an alternate MA degree applying for a DGH Degree program must meet the following requirements:
- An essay not to exceed 500 words about a life incident, an educational shortcoming, or an issue pertaining to the prevailing social, economic or political orders that has caused injustice to a human being, a society or a nation and your probable solution through: 1) changing the educational system, or 2) suggesting the needed change in the prevailing orders.
- The most important criteria for selection is the student’s interest in creating a sustainable future for the humankind.
The students with a BA degree may apply straight for a 5-yr DGH Degree program. They must meet the following requirements:
- An essay not to exceed 500 words about a life incident, an educational shortcoming, or an issue pertaining to the prevailing social, economic or political orders that has caused injustice to a human being, a society or a nation and your probable solution through: 1) changing the educational system, or 2) suggesting the needed change in the prevailing orders.
- The most important criteria for selection is the student’s interest in creating a sustainable future for the humankind.
Additional requirements include:
- The DGH students must conduct an independent research based on existential principles of Truth, Sustainability and Justice in any one of the following eight areas:
- Fair Governance – justice, education, health care
- Economic Reform – equity for all and thus prosperity for all
- Agriculture for Sustainability – clean air, potable water, arable land
- Holistic Medicine – physical wellbeing, mental balance
- Sustainable Business Practices – prosperity and wellbeing of the society at large
- Environment Restoration – revert climate change
- Sustainable Technologies – planned environment restoration
- Truth in Media Reporting – without influence
- The DGH students must publish at least one original paper in a refereed journal.
- The DGH students must defend their work before a Committee of three experts, one each in the areas of Truth, Sustainability and Justice and one expert in the specific area of their research.
- The DGH students must prepare a printable version of their research as part of a requirement for the degree. This version will become available to the future students and researchers enrolled for an MGH or a DGH degree.
